Why use a Bearing Buddy on a Boat trailer?
When trailering, even over short distances, the hubs heat up. Upon launching, when the wheels are submerged, the hubs cool quickly, causing the air inside the unprotected hubs to contract and create a vacuum. This vacuum draws in water through the rear seals. No rotating seal is perfectly sealed, and as a result, water and debris enter the hubs, leading to the gradual destruction of the bearings. Bearing Buddy® prevents wheel bearing failure and eliminates the need for frequent bearing repacking when installed and maintained properly.
