Pettit EZ Marine Wood Sealer is formulated to work on all types of wood surfaces and provides a moisture barrier to help stop peeling. Boat wood sealers prevent primers, paints, and varnishes from being absorbed into the wood surface. Pettit marine wood sealer is easy to apply on all types of wood surfaces such as teak and mahogany. Once boat wood sealer is applied, it is recommended that you sand the surface before applying finishing products such as topside primers or paints. Pettit EZ-Wood Sealer is safe to use under all Pettit, Z-Spar, and Shipendec products.

Pettit Brush Thinner: For brush application. Also used as a thinner on very hot days at 5-10% by volume.
Pettit Spray Thinner: For spray application. Use up to 20% by volume.
Make sure to stir EZ Wood Sealer prior to application. Thinning is not typically required, although on very warm days you can use Pettit 120 Brushing Thinner at 5-10% by volume to ease brushing and maintain good flow. When spraying, use Pettit 120 Brushing Thinner up to 20% by volume. Do not apply EZ Wood Sealer on extremely humid days or when rain is threatening. Wood must be clean, dry, and properly prepared prior to varnishing or painting.
