T-H Marine Atlas Hydraulic Jack Plates

The ATLAS Hydraulic Jack Plate by T-H Marine sets the gold standard for boaters worldwide, combining reliability, innovation, and superior performance.

Efficiency is at the heart of the ATLAS jack plate. With the ability to lift from bottom to top in just 8 seconds, it adapts seamlessly to changing water conditions. Whether you’re navigating shallow waters or striving for better fuel efficiency, ATLAS enhances every ride. It protects propellers from damage, enables smoother rides, and helps boats to plane with enhanced efficiency.

Trusted by professional anglers, leading boat manufacturers and recreational boaters worldwide, the ATLAS jack plate relay system is recognized as one of the best hydraulic jack plate options for performance and reliability on the water.

Key Features and Benefits

The ATLAS Hydraulic Jack Plate by T-H Marine has many advantages, including the following:

Built-in Hydraulics

ATLAS jack plates feature self-contained hydraulics, eliminating the need for separate pumps or reservoirs inside the transom. This integrated design minimizes maintenance, reduces potential failure points, and ensures efficient operation.

Fast and Efficient Lift

With an 8-second lift time, the ATLAS hydraulic jack plate allows quick adjustments from its lowest to the highest position, improving the boat’s adaptability to changing water conditions.

High-Durability Construction

These jack plates are made from a single-piece rod-and-slot lifting system, enabling them to withstand the weight of powerful V6 outboards and easily support engines up to 300 HP. Advanced polymer rods enhance durability and extend the lifespan of essential ATLAS jack plate parts.

Improved Fuel Efficiency and Performance

Get ready for optimized motor positioning, which reduces drag and increases fuel efficiency. Boats equipped with the hydraulic boat jack technology can also get on planes faster, making them safer and more effective in various conditions.

Industry-first Innovations

T-H Marine, the developer of the ATLAS jack plate, leads the industry with several groundbreaking features:

  • The first jack plate to house an actuator within the plate itself.
  • Pre-drilled mounting points for shallow water anchors, simplifying installation.
  • A reinforced safety cable that prevents failed engines from endangering passengers.

Low Maintenance Design

Unlike competing products, ATLAS jack plates require no regular lubrication service, saving time and effort for boaters.

Flexible Setback Options

Available in 4”, 6”, 8”, 10”, 12”, and 14” Setback models, ATLAS jack plates fit a wide variety of boat configurations and performance needs.

Warranty and U.S.-Made Quality

Every ATLAS jack plate comes with a lifetime warranty on the frame and a three-year warranty on hydraulics. What’s more, the hydraulic actuator is proudly U.S.-made.

Why Choose ATLAS Hydraulic Jack Plates

  • Proven Performance: More boat manufacturers trust ATLAS Hydraulic Jack Plates than any other brand, a testament to their trusted performance and reliability. Professional anglers and recreational boaters rely on their durability, even in demanding conditions.
  • Innovative Design: T-H Marine revolutionized the hydraulic boat jack industry by introducing an actuator built into the plate. This innovation simplifies installation, reduces the number of components, and ensures smoother operation.
  • Ease of Use: ATLAS hydraulic jack plates are designed with the user in mind. They have pre-drilled holes for accessories like shallow water anchors, easy actuator replacement in the field, and minimal maintenance requirements.
  • Comprehensive Safety Features: Safety is paramount, so ATLAS jack plates include a heavy-duty safety cable to prevent engine failures from compromising cockpit security.

ATLAS Jack Plate Installation Instructions

If no outboard engine is attached to the transom, proceed directly to mounting the jack plate.

Preparation

  1. Lift and remove the engine carefully using proper hoisting equipment.
  2. Loosen and detach the mounting hardware, then gently swing the engine away from the transom. In most cases, the wiring will have sufficient slack to remain connected.
  3. If cables or wires are too short, disconnect them and replace them with longer ones as needed.

Mounting the ATLAS Jack Plate System

  1. Clean off all dirt, oil, or leftover silicone from the transom.
  2. Apply a fresh layer of silicone around the pre-drilled mounting holes to create a watertight seal.
  3. Attach the jack plate to the transom, keeping the shortest side (2 ½”) against the transom.
  4. Insert bolts through the transom and secure them inside the jack plate using the provided nuts.
    • Note: If mounting bolts are unavailable, use ½” stainless steel bolts, lock nuts and washers that match your transom’s thickness.
  5. Adjust the alignment using the pre-drilled mounting holes and ensure the jack plate is level before tightening the bolts.

Wiring the Harness

  1. Cut a 1.5” x 1” hole in the desired dash location for the rocker switch. Ensure there are no obstructions like wires or brackets behind the panel.
  2. Connect the switch wires:
    • Blue Wire: Attaches to the top terminal (UP).
    • Purple Wire: Attaches to the middle terminal (COMMON).
    • Green Wire: Attaches to the lower terminal (DOWN).Mount the relay pack in a dry location near the battery compartment. Secure it using screws or zip ties.
  3. Connect the power cables:
    • Red wire: Attach to the positive battery post (40-amp ATC fuse included).
    • Black wire: Attach to the negative battery post.
  4. Connect the remaining components:
  5. Plug the switch cable into the designated relay connection.
  6. Connect the motor wire from the jack plate to the remaining relay connection.

Note: The connectors are designed to fit only one way. Do not force them into place to avoid damage.

Testing the Plate

  1. Operate the plate up and down to ensure all wires are secure and properly routed. Swap the green and blue wires to correct the direction if the switch operates in reverse.

Mounting the Engine:

    1. Align the engine with the appropriate mounting holes on the jack plate.
    2. Secure the engine using (4) ½” -13 x 3” stainless steel bolts, nuts, and washers.
    3. After installation, test the system to confirm smooth operation and proper clearance for wires.
